The month of February is all about love and roses. But to love someone else, you should first love yourself. And a big part of loving yourself is to take care of your health. Or, to love your health. In the fast-paced world that we live in, we often prioritize work and social interaction over health. Moreover, one of the biggest health risks that we take is to forego sleep. 

Here’s the problem with that: Sleep plays a vital role in your mental and physical well-being. Adequate, restorative sleep is your body’s way of repairing itself – from boosting your immune system to enhancing cognitive functioning. 

The correlation between insufficient sleep and various health issues, like cardiovascular problems and obesity (to name a few), are well documented. So basically, without proper sleep, your health will deteriorate.
